Babyland

One of the best bands you've never heard of (unless you have). In June of 2001 my friend Sean Aguirre is like "yeah, what are you doing tonight, I want you to see this band Babyland." So I was like "alright I guess.." Little did I know it would be the best concert I'd ever been to. This band FUCKING rocks. It consists of only two guys, Dan & Smith, but wow what a show. This was the local Los Angeles raw urban underground shit that I've craved ever since moving to the city. They have four albums, and it's all about seeing them live, it's a great experience. If you live on the west coast, make sure to catch one of their shows. I really don't understand why they aren't the biggest thing in the country right now, nobody else is doing what they do. If they get on a big-name tour, even as the least popular band, they might just blow up.

Since 1989 an electronic junk punk disco noise disruption... performance based low-end technology... west coast, south west, and national tours... recorded material for home and public use...

BABYLAND embodies the integration of electronic music with the direct approach of hardcore and the intensity of junk noise. Compositions are conceptually based on the extreem emotional elements of humankind as reflected in our continual evolution and search for meaning within our own existence. We utilize machinery twisted through misuse and human error to aggressively address our audience with empathy and concern; The electronic element and primitive rythmic base of the music provides an intense clarity and opposition to the resulting confusion and noise. The stronghold of our existence has always been intense live performances which confront audiences with extreme energy, harsh sonic and visual elements, and expreimental destruction.

We exist as a completely independent entity; All production, booking, merchandise, and communications are handled personally by the band. We continue our work with the strongest commitment and determination possible, and we depend on your support.

We will not go away.
