2 January 2005
Though I was obviously upset (see previous update) with the results of the election, I accepted what had happened and was getting over it in the following week. However, day-by-day after that as I read more and more articles about voting irregularities, complaints of voters across the country, cases of mass disenfranchisement, exit poll data that for the first time was "wrong" particularly in states using voting/tabulating machines made by companies who are very close friends with the Bush administration, I have come to the conclusion that I do not believe that George Bush has legitimately won this election. There is just too much evidence: Tell your family and friends. Call/write your congress people (Here too) - tell them to contest AT LEAST the Ohio electors on January 6th when congress meets to certify the electoral votes for President of the United States. Do not sit by and watch our 200 years of democracy come to an end.

There is a lot more than I mentioned. I would also link way more sources to statements above but it looks annoying if every few words there is a link. For more information and links to articles and sources, check out these sites:

No wonder it didn't make any sense to me that George Bush could won the election, he didn't.

Embarassed, shocked, disappointed, sad, angry, outraged, and in disbelief are my emotions on this day. This really sucks, I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS HAPPENED. How can so many people be so dumb? This is just total amazement at the stupidity of these hicks. Al Gore was a FAR inferior candidate for presidency than John Kerry (ANY disagreements?), yet Gore wins the election vs Bush, then Bush runs the country into the ground and fucks the nation up hard-core, shows everybody how dumb he is, yet somehow he gets re-elected vs Kerry!?!? Once more - People think Al is better but George gets the job, George pisses most people off and gets the reputation of not being the sharpest knife in the drawer, John comes along and is superior to Al, but George still gets chosen. {Yeah that makes total sense guys!} WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!?!? Thanks a lot all you rednecks. And the South, home of holding on to {cool ideas such as slavery has once again proven it's worthiness}. The 90% of 18-24 year olds that did not vote should be looked upon with nothing less than offensive, shameful disappointment. This should not have happened. This is just wrong. Kerry should have been the President. Bush never won the presidency to start with.

There's always a bunch of propositions on our California ballot, next time make sure you vote YES on Proposition Z - Secession from the United States of America.

P.S. I hate how they use "W" to signify George W. Bush. W is supposed to stand for cool things, like Westside. I saw some bitch throwing it up on CNN the other night amongst some Bush supporters - now I don't even want to throw it up anymore - they've even ruined THAT! ;asdkljf;sdljkfaspdojbgopejifoejif

I know I don't get a lot of traffic through here like I used to, and I'm not big on political rhetoric, but I feel that the country needs to be saved and I should say the following just in case it could cause somebody to re-think (or prompt them to think) their decision on election day:

George W. Bush.... has got to be the worst president in the history of the United States of America. I cannot understand how one can logically vote for him in this election. I admit it, I voted for him in 2000, Gore didn't seem much smarter/better, I wasn't a fan of Clinton, and I had no idea that Bush was so fucking dumb, I'm so sorry and embarassed. If I could go back in time I would of course (as I believe most people) change my vote. I'm not a Democrat, and I'd like you to consider the following:

Fuck you George W. Bush, FUCK YOU.

You are not going to vote for George Bush, you are going to do the right thing and vote for John Kerry, who has some great plans for our country. I don't want to hear any garbage about you not knowing how he is going to do what he plans to, or that you are still not sure about his plans & ideas, he only wrote a book explaining all his plans and ideas, and has an informative website. Where is Bush's book of plans and ideas for the next four years? It doesn't exist just like it didn't exist in 2000. John Kerry also wrote a book in 1997 entitled "The New War", basically about the fact that the nation is going to have to seriously deal with terrorism in the future. Doesn't this seem like somebody who has a good head on their shoulders? He fought in the military in Vietnam, did not hide from duty like George W, was not a drunk and druggie like George W., his daughters aren't idiots, how obvious of a choice is this? Kerry cares about people, not corporations. He is going to try to really change things for the better in our country in the years to come. George Bush has no real new plans for us, you're just going to get more of the same bullshit that you have been experiencing and seeing on the television day after day after day. This is so obvious who to vote for.

+Finished my mix of "S Club - Dance" from the excellent Seeing Double album and..
+Added Remix page.
+Added anon98 page.

1 May 2003
+Finished NES Pinball FAQ.

The latest White Stripes album, Elephant, is sssso dope alright?... I can't believe how good it is. It just feels so good. This is quite possibly the best thing in rock since Nirvana. I think the record industry has some shit to learn from this white stripes release... mainly that a record made without using equipment dated past 1963 and for under $10k can CLOWN everything else.

After reading one of the worst books I've ever come across, Nothing In This Book Is True, But It's Exactly How Things Are, I read a book called Everything In This Book Is True, And It's Exactly How Things Are, more commonly known as Genome: The History Of A Species In 23 Chapters. Best book I've ever read, hands down. I recommend you read it. This book is not a technical breakdown or technical look into the genome. Rather, it is a book for the general public which takes a look into humanity, our history, how we work, why certain things happen, why things are the way they are, what might be possible in the future - based on what we have learned so far from studying the human genome. You do not need to have any genetic knowledge or knowledge of what the genome exactly is, there is a good primer at the beginning of the book for all this. If you have a general knowledge of what genes are and what DNA is, which everybody should, then you're good to go with this book. This book explains a lot, you will learn many things. Really the sequencing of the genome is one of the most important/significant events in the history of the human race, and seemingly nobody knows about it or has any idea of the revolution that is underway and will change the world. Extremely good, extremely interesting, you'll learn a lot of things about humans that will amaze you. Everybody should read this book. It'll be a while, if ever, that I come across a book about anything that beats this.

Thanks to Professor Merrifield, my College Anthropolgy teacher for recommending this.

For the past half year I have been going through every single Beatles album, after a friend gave them to me. Finally I have finished and I can't believe how great this band is. This was basically my first exposure to them, infact I (now embarassingly) used to claim dislike towards them - I threw them in my group of music I don't like (most music pre-1988). These guys however shatter that claim. Definitely one of my, and in my opinion one of the, top five bands of all time. Here's a list of my favorite Beatles songs in alphabetical order:

A Day In The Life, A Hard Day's Night, Across The Universe, All My Loving, Baby It's You, Beatles Movie Medley, Can't Buy Me Love, Day Tripper, Devil In Her Heart, Drive My Car, Eleanor Rigby, Free As A Bird, Glass Onion, Golden Slumbers, Carry That Weight, The End, Good Night, Help!, Here Comes The Sun, Honey Pie, I Feel Fine, I Saw Her Standing There, I Wanna Be Your Man, I Want To Hold Your Hand, I'll Follow The Sun, I'm A Loser, I'm Happy Just To Dance With You, I'm Only Sleeping, I'm So Tired, In My Life, It Won't Be Long, Johnny B. Goode, Julia, Keep Your Hands Off My Baby, Let It Be, Lonesome Tears In My Eyes, Love Me Do, Lovely Rita, Martha My Dear, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Memphis Tenessee, Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown), Not A Second Time, Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da, Octupus's Garden, Oh! Darling, P.S. I Love You, Penny Lane, Pepperland, Real Love, Revolution( 1), Rock And Roll Music, Roll Over Beethoven, Sea Of Time, Sexy Sadie, She Loves You, She's Leaving Home, Sweet Little Sixteen, Strawberry Fields Forever, Thank You Girl, The Honeymoon Song, The Long And Winding Road, The Night Before, Things We Said Today, Think For Yourself, Ticket To Ride, To Know Her Is To Love Her, Tomorrow Never Knows, We Can Work It Out, What You're Doing, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Words Of Love, Yesterday, You Really Got A Hold On Me, You Won't See Me.

Thanks so much John, via Wolfgang from Germany!

Currently in love with my desktop configuration. I think this is my favorite ever. The situation is: GNOME 1.4 with sawfish and nautilus, themed out with AquaLightBlue for GNOME & AquaX for sawfish. I also have KDE 3.0 with Mosfet Liquid theme installed, hence the cool translucent menus in Konqueror, etc, all running on Linux of course. Thats a Quicklaunch bar on the bottom left, and the applets on the bottom right are (from left to right) Stickies, Weather, CPU Load, Network Load, Mail Check, and Time. Here are some screen shots!:

Joz3d.net, the second revision of my homepage, is done. As anybody who knows me knows, I'm pretty much over the web, but the homepage was still out there representing Joz, and I hate removing content from the web causing Not Found pages, so I figured I might as well update it, and add some new stuff I've saved up that I could share with the world as well. This new design is very modular so any future updates/additions can be very easily plugged in.

Also I would like to say that I was pretty unhappy about having a domain just for my homepage, as I'm from the mid-90s times when that notion was ridiculous. My previous host, however, shut me down due to billing confusion and loss of contact (my fault), and said I could not have my old style account back since they discontinued that service a long time ago and were just being nice keeping me on it. If I wanted to have a site with them I'd have to sign up for the new 3x as expensive service they offer with a required domain name. So I researched other hosting options and almost everybody gives you a domain name. I couldn't find a non-free provider that had a respectably short domain that would offer a not TOO difficult to remember URL. So I unhappily gave into current times and decided to just get the damn domain. Which pissed me off because I remember when joz.com was available in 1996! And now I basically had to get a domain and I couldn't have joz.com, it was just a little frustrating. But anyway looking at it now I think I like joz3d.net better than joz.com in the end. Whatever.
