BSOD Properties - Change the colors of the text and background on blue screens of death! Now your blue screen can be a red screen, or whatever the hell color you want. Does not work in WinNT, but does in 95, 98, and 3.x!
Dunce - Automatically hits the dial in Win32 DUN. Can also auto start programs once you are connected and redial automatically when disconnected.
EditPlus - An excellent text editor, especially for handling html. If you were using notepad to do your html, use this instead. Trust me.
Light Sabre Cursors - 2 Light Sabre cursors for win32. (yeah it's not a prog but they're dope!)
NeoTrace - A very cool traceroute program that features a map showing your geographic path to the target machine!
Power Toys - Small Windows enhancements/hacks by the Win95 team.
Ps2rate - Lets you increase the windows mouse input rate up to 200hz from your sorry ass 40hz ps/2 default. (Not for NT)
Start Menu Changer 97 - Can get rid of favorites, find, etc in the start menu.
Start Button Patcher - Changes text on Start button.
V4 Chat - The best LAN chat program.
Waker 97 - Alarm clock that plays MP3's of your choice when it goes off.
WinTop - The Win32 version of the famous Unix X program. Shows ALL programs that are running and how much of the system resources they are using. Note that ctrl-alt-del does not show ALL programs running.
X-FileGet - Isn't it annoying when you want to download RealMedia but it is streaming off a pnm:// server to be protected from downloading? What a bitch! This solves that problem. Thats right, it actually downloads the files from the pnm:// server! (Yes it's legal)
DOS Programs:
Compression Tools - PKWare, RAR, ARJ.
DJGPP - A DOS port of gcc! This means a freeware C/C++ DOS compiler if you didn't know.
Random Sound Starter (RSS) - A program I originally wrote back in late 1996 to change the windows startup sound to a random .wav of yours. I wrote it to be used with Win95, but it's DOS based so it works on 3.1 an 98 as well. Win2000 will be successfull in making this program obsolete. Maybe I'll make a Win32 version but I doubt it as it's really probably not worth it.
